Week 6 – ID Practice (PDE4210)

We attended a lecture given by Bob Fields at Ravensfield, the home of the Interaction Design Centre, where the IDC meeting at Hendon was held in the morning.

Bob demonstrated the ‘Phidgets‘ – a kit of sensors and other bits and pieces that can be used in interesting novel interactive prototypes, and the MERL Diamond Touch – a touch sensitive tabletop display surface, not entirely dissimilar from  Microsoft Surface.

Then we went to Cat Hill for the Final Cut Pro workshop in the afternoon.

I have also prepared Andy Bardill’s Introduction to Interaction Design as a Pdf document which I believe he delivered on the first session.

Andy also provided a useful paper on Prototyping which can be found here
